Al Galdi gives his take after former Redskins Inside Linebacker coach Rob Ryan told Colin Cowherd that Dwayne Haskins is “not even close” to being NFL ready
Some background on Ryan, the Redskins actually interviewed him for their defensive-coordinator vacancy after the 2016 season The job went to Greg Manusky, who Ryan will be working under. This is what is maybe most juicy about this hiring. We had the report from CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora on Jan. 20 that Dan Snyder badly wanted to hire Todd Bowles and then Gregg Williams to replace Manusky. Is the hiring of Rob Ryan The Danny “settling” for another potential Manusky replacement given Ryan’s lenghty track record of being a defensive coordinator? Or is this simply the Redskins hiring someone who they believe was the best man for the job? Maybe the answer is both.
