The anticipated happened! Anthony Rendon, gone from the Nationals just over a month after he helped the Nationals win their 1st World Series. Rendon is coming off arguably the best season of his career, where he finished with career bests in batting average, on plate and slugging percentage, home runs, and RBIs. He had a couple of accolades to go along with the stats. He finished third in MVP voting, became an all-star and picked up his second silver slugger award. Without a doubt, B-Mitch and Scott know that he is more than deserving of the contract he got, but they are sad to see him go and wish the Lerners could’ve done a little more to retain such a pivotal piece to last year’s World Series team.
