A domino has finally fallen in the Major League Baseball Free Agency sweepstakes.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan is reporting that free agent infielder Manny Machado will sign with the San Diego Padres. Terms have not been disclosed at this time but Passan and ESPN are reporting that the deal will be 10 years for a whopping $300 million dollars.

At this time it is the 2nd biggest contract in Major League Baseball history.

Machado is four-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove Award winner at third base. Last season he posted a career-high .905 OPS in 2018, finishing the season with a .297/.367/.538 slash line, 37 home runs, 107 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
