The Washington Redskins are expected to sign Quarterback Josh Johnson to back up Mark Sanchez for the rest of the Regular Season. This will be Johnson’s tenth NFL team.
Johnson last appeared in an NFL game in 2013 with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Johnson was drafted in the Fifth Round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He went 0-5 in five starts over three seasons with the Bucs, throwing for 1,042 yards with five touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He last threw a pass in an NFL game during the 2011 season.
The former University of San Diego QB has also been a member of the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts andBuffalo Bills. New York Jets. He also had stints with the Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, Houston Texans, and Oakland Raiders but never played a down.
In November, Johnson became the first-ever pick of the American Alliance Of Football League, drafted by the San Diego Fleet franchise.
